Overview
Whisper of a Lullaby is a 3D Adventure Puzzle-Platformer by the development team Children Among Giants. It tells the story of Dusk, a 6-year-old boy trapped in a collective dream shared by multiple children. Each child is plagued by emotional troubles in the real world that have manifested as nightmares in this world. It is up to Dusk to help them work through their problems, and combine their respective strengths, to wake up from the dream.
I was involved with the game from its conception as part of a group project in Fall 2015, though production didn’t begin in earnest until Summer 2016 when myself and a team of peers worked on the game as a co-op through the MAGIC Center at RIT. During this time, the first couple levels – or worlds – of the game came together, as well as the mechanics and most of the planning for the story. I was our sole character modeler and animator, so I handled everything having to do with creating the 3D characters (modeling, rigging, skinning, animating, importing animations to UE4, etc.)
